Chess is a tool that helps students develop life skills such as concentration, self-discipline, critical thinking, and social interaction. Our dedicated and caring chess teachers provide students with techniques that help them maintain a positive and optimistic mindset while dealing with challenges on and off the chess board. While having fun, learning about and playing the game of chess, children establish within themselves a calm understanding of successful behavior and thinking patterns that will resonate throughout their whole lives. Academically, children who play chess improve their math and reading skills. Chess helps children discover the process of logic and of cause and effect. Chess encourages children to make connections about the visual/spatial geometric aspect of chess with the sequential (move by move) aspect and integrate it with the rules and regulations of the game (similar to solving math problems).
